"I am feeling your face in the dark
I'm hearing you breathe in the dark
I am tasting your lips in the dark
I'm holding you close in the dark"
-- Sonata Arctica "In The Dark"
When in doubt, add glitter. Also, crushes are fun, but they won't save you money on car insurance.
So, due to a rather annoying crush (which I wrote about in my DA journal) I've been feeling rather...er...mopey, so I decided to channel that "mopiness" into some art and hopefully get over the crush in the process. It's doesn't help that I now associate certain songs from the new Sonata Arctica album (despite said album being AWESOME) with said crush.
Anyway, onto art. A new portrait of my "Sentinel" Hotaru Thodt is what came of it, also looking a bit mopey (or rather like she just couldn't enjoy her sandwich) and sitting in/on some porthole thinger. I don't think her forehead is big enough though, other than that, Hotaru actually came out looking a lot like me...because she's my self-insert/Mary Sue...should she should.
There's a lot of personal symbolism in this piece, but I'm not going to go into it for fear if...giving things away.
Is it just me or does this piece look like I'm a big fan of the old "Spelunx" game? Because I really do love that game and I REALLY wish I had a copy of it that would work in Windows.
As for the annoying crush, this piece really helped me with it, even though it's still lingering. I might just tell a couple of trusted friends who it actually is and just "come clean" so to speak.

Strange there's no Mac version given that's where it started.
