I shamelessly copied a drawing of Wonder Woman that I believe was by Terry Dodson...and now I can't find it.

Today is a rainy day (meaning no work) so another day, another sailor, but this time I'm submitting my Variable Star soldier from the Carina Nebula for the group Messier-Senshi, V396 Carinae AKA SailorIlluminata. There's actually two stars in the Carina Nebula that have the number V396, those being WR 25 and WR 16 (the "WR" standing for Wolf-Rayet). Needless to say my goldfish brain kept getting confused so I eventually just said "fuck it" and put the image of WR25 behind her, then resized the stars themselves a bit so most of the cluster could be seen behind her.

Despite shamelessly copying a pose from a drawing of Wonder Woman, I had fun with this even though that chrome armour took longer than the rest of the image (about six hours). I had someone helping me along, critiquing and giving me pointers on painting as I posted screen captures of my progress in PhotoShop...that is posting screen caps when Trillian wasn't acting up and refusing to show said screen caps.

    † "Carina Lightwave" - Fire two light beams from her right pointer and middle fingers, one beam remaining straight while the other coils around the straight beam. This ability can drill through targets, and those who cannot be drilled through the beams will explode on contact.
